Stepan has announced at 124 tracks (dirt and asphalt) across 21 states and 2 Canadian provinces during his 23-year career, which began as the track announcer at the legendary Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wisconsin 23 years ago.

Since his start, Stepan has served as the series announcer for the United States Modified Touring Series and Como Mod Series, plus he has called many big events across the country and has been the voice of some of the biggest special events across the Midwest and throughout the country, including the Minnesota Modified Nationals and Fall Classic at the Ogilvie Raceway in Ogilvie, MN; the Great Lakes Border Battle and Minnesota Mod Nationals in Wisconsin at the Gondik Law Speedway in Superior, WI; the John Seitz Memorial Late Model Invitational at the River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks, ND; the Street Stock Little Dream Race at the Rice Lake Speedway in Rice Lake, WI; the Fall Nationals, Battle at the Border and Winter Meltdown at the Southern New Mexico Speedway in Las Cruces, NM and new Vado Speedway Park in Vado, NM; the Winternationals at the East Bay Raceway Park in Tampa, FL and the North Florida Speedway in Lake City, FL; Speedweeks events at the Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, FL; the Punky Manor Challenge of Champions at the Red Cedar Speedway in Menomonie, WI; the Silver 1000 at the Proctor Speedway in Duluth, MN; the the Fall Jamboree and Labor Day Duel at the Deer Creek Speedway in Spring Valley, MN; the Boone River Bayou at the Hamilton County Speedway in Webster City, IA; the Cajun Clash at the Ark-La-Tex Speedway in Vivian, LA; the Wes Hurst Memorial and Turkey Classic at the Cocopah Speedway in Yuma, AZ; the Wild West Shootout at the USA Raceway in Tucson, AZ; the Desert Nationals at the Central Arizona Raceway in Casa Grande, AZ; the King of America and the Battle at the Bulling, both held at the Humboldt Speedway in Humboldt, KS; the Chisholm Trail Showdown at the 81 Speedway in Park City, KS, along with the Eric Herbison Memorial, the Masters, the USA Nationals, the Fall Frenzy and the Legendary 100, all held at Cedar Lake plus countless others.

	Stepan also travels to Las Cruces, New Mexico in the desert Southwest each March and November to call the action at the annual to win Winter Meltdown and Fall Nationals Modified events at the Speedway of Southern New Mexico, the Southewest's premier 1/3 mile clay oval.
	Since 2006, Chris has served as the official announcer of the Modified WinterNationals at the East Bay Raceway Park in Tampa, Florida each February, an annual Speedweeks event held the week leading up to the Daytona 500 each year. Chris serves as co-announcer for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series events at East Bay Raceway Park as well.
	Stepan serves as the voice of the annual $9,200 to win John Seitz Memorial Late Model Invitational, held at the River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks, North Dakota each September in memory of longtime racer and friend John Seitz, who passed away suddenly in February of 2007.
	In 2014, Stepan became the official voice of the USMTS King of America Modified Nationals, held annually in late March at the Humboldt Speedway in Humboldt, Kansas.
